To overcome these limits, the ATLAS project introduces a cloud-based platform for cardiovascular simulations. It enables real-time analysis with high predictive accuracy through a simple web interface, making advanced modeling accessible to clinicians and researchers. By bridging sophisticated tools and clinical practice, ATLAS democratizes cardiovascular simulations.
Built on Reduced Order Modeling and data-driven AI methods from the ERC AROMA-CFD project, ATLAS reduces computational costs without sacrificing accuracy. It offers preconfigured applications for healthcare professionals, supports real-time parametric blood flow analysis, and can integrate with technologies such as augmented reality for surgical planning, enabling personalized simulations.
ATLAS advances personalized healthcare by providing powerful tools, lowering costs, and expanding global access to modeling. Challenges remain, including clinical data integration, AI interpretability, and data security. Still, ATLAS has strong potential to accelerate digital transformation, improve patient care, and reshape computational cardiology.
