The project is organised under the lead of the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and with the collaboration of the University of Trieste, the University of Udine and Rachael S.r.l.. The overall aim of the work is to provide tools for supporting the Regional Administration in the planning of vocational education and training, educational services, the school network, and related infrastructure investments.
Specifically, the team at mathLab is investigating data-driven predictive models for student enrolment forecasting. The goal is to develop methods capable of estimating future student populations across the regional educational system, laying the foundations for analysing the impact of different school network configurations.
