The 8th International Liquid Crystal Elastomer Conference (ILCEC15) will take place at the Centre for Scientific Culture “Ettore Majorana” in Erice, between 2 and 7 October 2015. The conference ILCEC15 will follow the tradition of the previous meetings (Shanghai 2013, Lisbon 2011, Kent State 2009, Ljubljana 2007, Cambridge 2005, Bleibach 2003, Ebernburg 2001) and bring together physicists, chemists, engineers, and mathematicians active in the field of liquid crystal elastomers. Theoretical, experimental, modeling, and technological issues will be discussed through talks (invited and contributed) and poster presentations in the unique setting of the Majorana Center in Erice.
